Wanted to give this a shot. I've never animated a milky way stargate before so this is a little bit rough but what can you do. Basic gate shape taken from "dustojnikhummer"s gate model from sketchup however I did need to seriously fix a few spots on the gate. the symbols on the original mesh were horrible and the chevrons needed some work but I think it turned out ok for a low poly mesh, The song is a custom mix of Joel Goldsmiths "Entering the Stargate"from the SG1 soundtrack. Use of the song is strictly under fair use and I'd recommend buying the album off Itunes because it is pretty good.
